Heather Curatola Heckel

Heather Curatola Heckel is a role-playing game author and designer. She is best known for her contributions to several White Wolf Publishing RPG sourcebooks and supplements, including the Children of Gaia Tribebook , Umbra: The Velvet Shadow, and Digital Web. She is known for creating Alexis Hastings, the narrator of the first edition Sons of Ether Tradition Book. She has been actively involved in the role-playing community for over 35 years and takes great pride in her extensive role-playing game collection (including the game Rus, which most people have never seen).

She has been an editor, independent publisher, and cover designer and is working on writing her first novel. She currently teaches sociology at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, VA, focusing primarily on popular culture, fandom, AI, social media, and virtual communities.

Terry Hooker

Terry, also known as M.E. Anderson, is a freelance writer and editor, a Jersey girl from the shore turned Florida farm girl soon to be a Virginia farm girl. She has a BA in anthropology, an AAS in Culinary Arts, and an MA in Library Science. She has worked as a congressional archivist, historian, teacher, and professional chef and has presented her research on the history and iconography of southern cemeteries throughout the Southeast United States. She has edited several children’s books, full length novels, dissertations, and academic papers; Terry, herself, has published scholarly papers, magazine articles, fictional stories, and books. She lives with her husband, two kids, and a plethora of critters.

E.J. Isaacs

E.J. Isaacs is a new writer with Space Wizard Science Fantasy after spending decades in Information Technology. He is a futurist and likes to talk about

“Amy” A.L. Kaplan

A.L. Kaplan’s love of books started as a child and sparked a creative imagination. Born on a cold winter morning in scenic northern New Jersey, she is the author of the novel, Star Touched, and several short stories including “Hummingbird.” Her most recent publication is Mark of the Goddess, which includes original illustrations. She is a member of the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers Association, is the past president of Maryland Writers’ Association, and holds an MFA in sculpture from the Maryland Institute College of Art. When not writing or indulging in her fascination with wolves, this proud mother of two lives in Maryland with her husband and dog. Linette Kasper

Linette Kasper is an avid writer of supernatural fantasy but enjoys dabbling in other styles, especially horror and suspense. She has released three novels, Daimon, Rogue, and Phoenix, from her first series. She also has a horror short story, “What They Did Not Know,” published in Fundead Publications’ anthology One Night in Salem, and a fantasy short story, “Indelible,” published in the Rejected fundraising anthology by Aaron K. Crocker. She also presented at the Library of Congress on “Fantasy as Escapism.” When she is not writing, she also enjoys editing works by other authors for Campfire Publishing.

She has lived in Virginia all her life but likes to travel even though she has never gone farther than the east coast and is afraid of flying. She enjoys long walks in old cemeteries, binge-watching TV shows, and trying to stop time frame by frame.

Tommy Kerper

Once upon a time, a bored lawyer and avid reader tired of his favorite characters becoming background noise to the heroes of the story, and he took took it upon himself to write something different.

Thus, I’m Not the Hero was born.

A few books later, Tommy has dropped the lawyer gig and decided writing full-time is worth giving a chance.

Born in Florida, Tommy rolled a high luck stat and met his wife early in life. They live in Virginia with a dog full of endless energy and two boys that wear even the dog out. You can find Tommy writing, sipping another cup of coffee, or reading anything he can get his hands on.

Bethanne Kim

Bethanne Kim is the publisher of the new alternate history magazine Eric Flint’s 1632 & Beyond and a writer in the 1632verse. Her stories focus on how individuals adapt to their new world and heal old wounds—theirs and the world around them. Her favorite characters are almost all well past retirement age because they can get away with so much more. Her 1632 novels are Mrs. Flannery’s Flowers, Gourmets of Grantville, and Red Shield. She also has many short stories published in both The Grantville Gazette and Eric Flint’s 1632 & Beyond.

Before she started writing in 1632, she wrote about emergency preparedness, zombies, Scouts, and even the US Constitution—The Constitution: It’s the OS for the US.

Sean CW Korsgaard

Sean CW Korsgaard is a U.S. Army veteran, award-winning freelance journalist, author, editor, and publicist who has worked with Analog Science Fiction & Fact, Baen Books, and Writers of the Future, and recently became the editor of Anvil and Battleborn magazines. His first anthology, Worlds Long Lost, was released in December 2022, as was his debut short story, “Black Box.” He lives in Richmond, VA with his wife and child, along with, depending on who you ask, either far too many or far too few books.

Elisabeth Lang

Elisabeth Lang is the author of speculative and realistic fiction stories and novels. Her short stories have been published in the Pen in Hand Literary Journal and the Bay to Ocean Journal.

She lives, writes, and reads in Maryland and earned a BA from Johns Hopkins University and an MA from UCLA.

Elisabeth is president of the Montgomery County Chapter of the Maryland Writers’ Association and a member of the Eastern Shore Writers Association.

JM Lee

JM Lee is not only a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, but also a teacher by day, belly dancer by night, and writer by passion. Blending traditional dance with storytelling, she hopes that her performances capture the spirit of many generations before her. Her books aim to be inclusive, crafting the kind of heartfelt stories her younger self wished she’d had. When not performing, writing, or wrangling her two energetic boys, she’s likely rewatching Buffy the Vampire Slayer or hanging upside down in an aerial yoga hammock.
