Since the beginning of the outbreak, RavenCon has been committed to protecting our family of fans from COVID-19. In 2020, we were one of the first conventions to cancel in order to help reduce the spread of COVID. Now, two years later, we are doing everything we can to hold the safest possible version of RavenCon.

The Omicron variant is in decline. 65.9% of the United States is currently vaccinated. 72.9% of Virginians are currently vaccinated. 100% of the RavenCon staff and panelists are vaccinated. With those numbers, we feel that it is okay for us to finally hold RavenCon 15. With certain safety precautions…

We will be requiring all attendees to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test within 72 hours of arrival before entering the convention. Tests must be administered and documented by a licensed medical professional. Additionally, appropriate face coverings will be required at all times inside the convention, regardless of vaccination status. We will allow an exemption for those who have been informed by a licensed healthcare provider that wearing a facial covering or mask will cause or aggravate a health condition for the individual once documentation is provided to our Registration Staff. If you have pre-registered for the convention and are unable to attend because of these guidelines, we will be happy to forward your registration to 2023.

RavenCon is using 100% of the hotel and the function space, so the only people in attendance will be convention attendees.

All panel rooms and programming spaces will be closed twice a day for deep cleaning—once during the day and once overnight. These closures will happen on a rolling basis so there will ALWAYS be lots of programming options to choose from.

We would also like to remind everyone that if you are running a fever or experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms, please stay home.

We want to thank everyone for your patience over the past few months as we worked out these details. We will continue to evaluate our policies and procedures and follow the guidance of public health officials in order to keep the convention as safe as possible for those who choose to attend. As always, our goal is to hold the best convention possible. For the entire staff and many of the attendees, RavenCon is family. We want to keep our family safe.

Thank you for your patience and support.
