Charles Gannon 
Dr. Charles E. Gannon is a Distinguished Professor of English (St. Bonaventure University) and a Fulbright Senior Specialist in American Literature and Culture.
He has published both fiction and non-fiction in the SF field. His fiction credits include novellas in Analog ("The Power of Visions") and in Jerry Pournelle's War World series. His most recent non-fiction book (“Rumors of War and Infernal Machines: Technomilitary Agenda Setting in American and British Speculative Fiction") is in second edition and won the 2006 American Library Association Award for Outstanding Text. He has been a University Fellow at various institutions (Liverpool University, Palacky University, University of Dundee) and his work on fiction, technology, and political influence has been widely published. His degrees include a BA from Brown University, an MS from Syracuse University, and both an MA and a PhD from Fordham University. Prior to his academic career, he worked eight years as a scriptwriter and producer in New York City, where his credits included programs for the United Nations, the World Health Organization, and The President’s Council on Physical Fitness.
