Sean CW Korsgaard

Soldier, scholar, writer and freelancer, Sean CW Korsgaard is a US Army veteran, award-winning journalist, and freelance writer.

As a reporter, Sean has had articles published in more than a dozen newspapers across Virginia, including the Richmond Times-Dispatch, The Progress-Index, The Free Lance-Star, and the Daily Press, and online has been featured on websites including Screen Rant, Collider, Boing Boing, and the Alternate History Weekly Update. He won the SPJ Mark of Excellence Award for his coverage of the trial of former Virginia governor Bob McDonnell, has covered events ranging from military deployments to comic book conventions, and has interviewed people ranging from movie stars to U.S. Senators. Work has taken Sean everywhere from traveling to Poland with a Holocaust survivor to being attacked by a shark in downtown Atlanta, and he wouldn’t have it any other way.

Like many others here at RavenCon, Sean is a hopeful speculative fiction author, and has a handful of short stories he’s hoping to have published by the end of the year. In the meantime though, if you see him taking photos or video around the convention, be sure to say hello and to pose for the camera!

Sean lives in Richmond, VA, and is always on the hunt for another byline and his next grand adventure.
